Accessibility at Whales of Iceland
Whales of Iceland is strongly committed to offering environmental education for all. For that reason, we are proud to be an accessible attraction in the following ways and more.
Whales of Iceland is 100% wheelchair accessible. A wheelchair is available to borrow for those who need it. We have specially-marked extra wide parking spaces right outside the door, and our entire exhibition is located on one floor with no stairs or thresholds anywhere. Furthermore, we have a specially-marked restroom that is similarly accessible for wheelchair users.
To benefit the visually impaired, Whales of Iceland offers a free audio guide in 16 languages and counting. The audio guide is highly descriptive and allows everyone to enjoy the exhibits regardless of visual acuity.
Printed copies of our audio guide are available at the front desk in all languages for our hard-of-hearing visitors. Additionally, all of our videos and documentaries are shown with subtitles. None of our interactive exhibits rely exclusively on sound for their enjoyment.
Please do not hesitate to contact us before your visit if you have any questions or concerns!
